The Basics of Inflammatory Breast Cancer
Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) is a rare type of breast cancer. Unlike more common breast cancer types, Inflammatory Breast Cancer appears as a rash or infection instead of a lump in the breast. Because Inflammatory Breast Cancer is so aggressive it requires a multidisciplinary approach to treatment. The standard for treatment of IBC requires Chemotherapy, Surgery and Radiation Therapy. M.
